Find Inner Peace In Chaotic Times
By Samantha Keen
Inner peace is inside you — it is your human birthright. Not in a woo-woo, hippie, or weird way. In a grounded, centered, connected-to-yourself way.
Peace is quiet though, not loud like emotions and thoughts, and all of the distractions and pulls that take us away from our center. And more than that, there is an inbuilt faulty mechanism in human beings where we constantly look outside of ourselves for the very thing that is already there in the core of our own being.
Recently, I have had some big events happen in my family home that rocked me. Well, honestly, it has been going on for a year now. Being rocked to my core, yet needing to show up for those I love and for myself, has taken me deeper into my practice than ever before.
It is when the shit hits the fan — as Australians say, meaning when everything gets difficult — that you know whether the work you have been doing on yourself has actually transformed you and created real pathways of peace inside, or not.
I have found, over 26 years of spiritual practice, that doing the work gets real and can be deepened in these times of chaos: when a loved one is ill, when employment is under threat, when there is conflict around me, when I have moved states or countries, or occasionally when I simply watch the news!
Staying present and connected to the core of ourselves no matter what is happening around us is the work.
I am going to talk about how to make this really achievable. In my experience, we need real techniques — techniques that forge a pathway to this center in such a way that it becomes the fallback option when the going gets tough. So that peace and connection are there for you instead of the automatic emotional and thought patterns that are the normal default.

I’d love to invite you to a free online conversation: “Finding Inner Peace in Times of Chaos.”
In this talk, we’ll explore why chaos can actually become a doorway to deeper awakening, practical meditation tools you can use right away to find your center, and how to build a resilience practice that holds — even when life doesn’t. This is a space for seekers, practitioners, and anyone who is ready to stop waiting for calm to arrive and start creating it from the inside out.

From Talk to Transformation
For those who feel called to go deeper, this online talk is also an introduction to an upcoming weekend meditation workshop in Portland, Oregon that I will be running with Catherine Klebl April 18th & 19th— and there is no better time for it than spring. Portland in this season is breathtaking, and the energy of new beginnings will be woven into every moment of our time together.
This is an immersive experience designed to help you build a lasting foundation of inner peace, presence, and spiritual knowing — a true fresh start for your practice and your inner life. Whether you’re brand new to meditation or a long-time practitioner looking to reignite your path, this weekend will meet you exactly where you are.
A Note From My Own Journey
My path to this work was not a straight line. It grew out of my own experience navigating exhaustion, depletion, and the slow climb back to wholeness — a journey I explore in my book, Reclaiming Vitality: A Healing Journey Through Chronic Fatigue and Burnout. That experience taught me that peace is not passive. It is something we choose, practice, and ultimately embody.
I show up to this work because I believe you deserve that kind of peace — not someday, but now.
A Fresh Start Begins Within
The world needs people who are rooted. People who can stay present, compassionate, and clear-headed in the midst of uncertainty. Spring is calling you toward that — toward something new, something intentional, something deeply yours.
